So, I probably won’t be taken seriously, as there is this pernicious cultural antipathy towards atheists by viewing all of them in nihilistic terms or by accusing them of arrogance when they criticize religion, but your explanation about the benefits of Christianity touches upon one of my steadfast criticisms of the entire religion which I’ve written in a chapter for a book I’ve been working on. The primary problem with that theology is that it has no moral values to speak of. No sense of accountability or respect for others. Instead, it’s based upon parading a narcissist from the first century CE as a living god who purportedly designed his own death to change his own mind about forgiving humanity. In other words, all he actually teaches is how to be an example of a raving narcissist. There is no taking his teachings out of context, or false interpretation, the people acting narcissistic are emulating him accurately due to his behavior and hateful teachings.
